Regular indoor football, sport and other activity for working adults in Singapore

25 February, 3 & 10 March 2008

Posted by rajiv on 22 February 2008

I will be back on 10 Mar. I have a tentative booking at Futsal @ East Coast from 8 to 10 pm on 10 Mar but the clear preference is for Monday nights to be at Bukit Timah campus (see attached, Tom has been hard at work).

Online bookings for the courts at Bukit Timah campus open at 1 pm a fortnight before, so we can only book for 10 Mar at Bukit Timah campus next Monday, 25 Feb, at 1.01 pm. There is another lot that try to book from 7 to 9 pm, so if we want to be sure to get Court No. 2 (with the proper goalposts) for the full 2 hours, we have to get in fast. I will be away on 25 Feb, so please try to book the Court No. 2 slot from 8 to 10 pm on Monday 10 Mar. Whoever holds the ball at the end of the 3 Mar session, make sure you come for the 10 Mar session.

If you don’t already have a password, register here:

If you are registered, go to and log in.

When you get in, click “Bookings” in the left hand column. When the booking details come up on the right hand side, make the following selections:

“Activity” – Netball (Spe Outdoor)
“Venue” – Spe Outdoor Facilities
“Start Time” – 8 pm
“End Time” – 10 pm
“Date” – Choose the required date.

Click “Query”

When the Query Results show up, choose Court No 2 for 8 to 9 pm, and also for 9 to 10 pm, by clicking in the appropriate boxes. A tick should appear.

Then click on “Submit”.

Payment can be made by credit card. If payment is not made within a reasonable time (I haven’t figured out how long you have), the booking lapses.

Once any one of you gets Court 2 from 8 to 10 pm on a Monday, notify the rest, so that no one else tries to book.

If Court No. 2 is already booked from 8 to 9 pm, but is available from 9 to 10 pm, whoever is holding the ball make the call whether to book Court No. 1 from 8 to 9 pm and Court No. 2 from 9 to 10 pm.

Tom / Raj, now we are back at Bukit Timah campus, no more excuses.

Dennis, your rantings … sorry … analysis (at least since October 2007) are now permanently recorded at

Tom, you are quoted at

Kin, the term “FAFI” has been attributed to you. Hope your knee is getting better.

    Yo guys,

Last session was a great workout ! Despite a slippery field we have had
some good combinations – (Yes…I know my comments are very short..oh well,
what to say….Henry scored many as usual, Zidane was busy headbutting and
Bekham was on the bench having pedicure..)

As for now, 3rd of March game confirmed are:

    Boon Yick

    Chop chop ladies !

  3. dennis said

Channou – sorry bro – but reading this from HK is very disappointing
when your commentary is non existent – and who in world is henry ? and
zidane I know – but I know his shooting can be woeful as times but
headbutting – ?? who is he headbutting??? Beckham – who’s becks??

Was it raining – ? on Monday?

We didnt tell you ? We had celebraties coming down to the game..Beckham is the metrosexual brit player now in CA and in discussions with Snoop Dogg for acting in his next “explicit scenes”movie. Henry is Nicolas because of the
number of goals. We aslo had my cousin Zidane, but he was mostly still busy head butting Materazzi (or anyone who looked like him).

Ya, it was raining only for about 10 mins two hours before the game, but it was still wet when we played..this made all of us realised that Bukit Timah is a lot more dangerous for injuries than the sweet artificial grass at East Cost. Whenever we’ll play at Bukit Timah, I would bring the entire american football protection set with me, seriously.

After the next game, I will try to elaborate more on my comments buddy 😉

Right – sounds like an international line up you got on now – good thing –

Yes bukit timah is alone more dangerous when it rains but
remember – it will also improve your ball control and dribbling – also the space is bigger –

Whereas – the “sweet” turf at east coast is smaller – accommodating less people – expensive – and further –

Alrite – just some HK perspective – I haven’t gotten any footie going yet but I seem to have located some English team playing real indoor footie at some apartment here – so will share some of SG samba moves and shouting – ha! Provided I wont get kicked out –

So Raj, if you are talking about the summer tour – that can be arranged!! Point is not to talk only – get it going!!

I was outside on a coffee break, on the way back to the office, saw a super sexy gorgeous babe…I looked at her..and within a few secondes she was all wet – NO, it wasn’t me and my charm – weather is terrible, raining bloody hard 😦 …cant see beyond 50 meters through the window.

Next week is likely to be at East Cost, need to re-check with Rajiv, will confirm during the week..

In the meantime, you guys can train your soccer tactic team skills on the playstation…

The rain has stopped already. So its still off?

  9. channou said

    Crazy tropical weather indeed..

if the clouds clear out relatively fast, the court might have enough time to dry. Let’s take the final call by 17.30

  10. channou said

Okay, I think we have enough ppl to give it a try

I’ll be on the pitch at 20.00

  11. rajiv said
